The sale of this Tyrannosaurus Rex is amazing unto itself. However, as an appraiser I also found it quite fascinating that it was part of Christie's 20th Century Evening Sale of fine art, along with major canvases by Jackson Po***ck, Pablo Picasso, William de Kooning, and others. The auction houses have been doing some interesting things these days and it looks like it's paying off, big time.

The auction market is doing amazing things in 2020. The middle and even low-end of the markets seem to be back in full swing! It's a good thing. This beautiful John Winters painting doubled its pre-sale low estimate and sold for $11,875! (Great painting!!)
