Days before the Chiefs playoffs the team is already making history with a new fashion collection. The Chiefs x Cherry collection from Thalia Cherry of Cherry Co is the first of its kind to put a black, female designer from Kansas City on the national stage.

Cherry is a ScaleUP! Kansas City alumna who was in the third cohort of the program in 2016. ScaleUP! Kansas City is a no-cost program that helps participants get the skills, connections and perspective to scale their businesses.
Through ScaleUP! KC, Cherry said she learned “the value of diversifying your product line. With risk management, you will be able to identify new opportunities and weather storms.”
She was recognized as one of the Women Who Mean Business by the Kansas City Business Journal and among the 2020 Ebony Power 100. In addition, Cherry also was named one of the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce Top 10 Small Businesses of the Year and won the 2020 Diverse Small Business of the Year Award from the chamber.
