💙 Why We Accept Cards or $1 Bills Only 💙

We’ve had people ask why our machine only accepts credit/debit cards/mobile pay or $1 bills, so we wanted to share the reason.

Our ice vending machine can only support two payment methods. We had to choose between:

🧊 Credit/Debit Card + $1 Bills
OR
🧊 Cash with Change (accepting larger bills)

We chose to offer card payments, because it gives most customers a quick and convenient way to purchase ice without needing to carry cash. However, enabling card payments means the machine cannot also operate the change dispenser for larger bills.

As a result, the machine accepts:
✔️ Credit/Debit Cards
✔️ $1 Bills

It does not accept larger bills because it is unable to make change in this configuration.

🧊 Island Chill Maintenance Update 🧊

We think we’ve finally figured out what’s been causing our machine to freeze up and not hold the proper temperature! 🤞

To make sure we’ve truly fixed the problem, we’re going to stay closed for a few more days while we put everything through its paces. We want to be confident that when we reopen, we’re providing the reliable, high-quality ice you’ve come to expect.

Our goal is to be back open by this weekend!

We take pride in providing clean, high-quality ice to our customers. Recently, we noticed our ice quality was not meeting the standards we expect from Island Chill. As a result, we have temporarily shut down the machine while we work on the cooling system. We are confident Chapman's A/C & Heating will get us back to where we need to be asap! 🧊 💨

During this downtime, we will also be performing a thorough sanitization and routine maintenance to ensure everything is operating at its best.

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience and support. We’ll keep everyone updated and let you know as soon as we’re back up and running with the quality ice you deserve.
