Hi everyone, it's Michael! I don't post much on this account, but I'm excited to share with you all that I'm rolling out a new professional development assessment and coaching model called "myMomentum." I'll be at the regional igniteEX conference next week sharing version 1.0 with conference participants and building a community of leaders and professionals pursuing accelerated growth. By layering together my experience and education around adult education, organizational excellence, CliftonStrengths, and coaching science, I am focused on sparking a community of leaders and professionals that invest in themselves and each other. Michael will be a panelist and a featured presenter for an intensive session at PENworks 2022 this week. If you'll be at PENworks, stop by his exhibitor booth, and check out his presentation on Friday morning at 9:30 a.m., where he'll explore the connections between the four conference themes, the Baldrige framework, and the role-model practices of Baldrige Award recipients.

There's a difference between winning and leading that is illuminated by the difference in the following two sentences:

Win at any cost.

Lead at any cost.

One emphasizes sacrificing anything you believe in to triumph, the other emphasizes upholding everything you believe in, even if (and especially when) it costs you something.

When I started Momentum four years ago, I did so with a belief in the power of building momentum through small wins. People who have the opportunity to grow and succeed in organizations are motivated to build on that success. I believe in the power of engaged and empowered people. Thanks for following Momentum!!

The Baldrige framework provides a systems perspective for continuous improvement and advancing performance excellence. The Baldrige “Criteria for Performance Excellence” reflects the leading edge of validated management practice, against which any organization can measure itself to identify and prioritize improvement opportunities. This workshop will walk through the Baldrige Framework, will provide examples of tools and approaches that align with Baldrige, will “connect the dots” by showing how other improvement tools complement Baldrige, and will explore best practices from other organizations on the journey to excellence.
