Tropical Storm Preparedness Starts Before the Storm. 🌧️
Tropical weather can bring heavy rain, flooding, power outages, and disruptions that can affect our communities and the water and wastewater services they rely on.
At MDS Aqualia, our teams are actively monitoring conditions and reviewing operational readiness across the districts we serve. You can take a few steps at home to help protect your household and stay prepared:
💧 Stock water and essential supplies
Keep bottled or emergency drinking water available for your household.
🏠 Secure your home
Bring in or secure outdoor items, clear drains and gutters where it is safe to do so, and protect important documents from water.
🧰 Prepare an emergency kit
Have flashlights, batteries, medications, food, water, and other essential supplies ready.
📲 Stay informed
Follow trusted local weather, emergency management, and water service updates.
⚠️ Stay out of floodwater
Never walk or drive through flooded roadways. Floodwater can be contaminated and may be deeper or more dangerous than it appears.
As Tropical Storm Eduardo approaches, MDS Aqualia will continue monitoring conditions and supporting the communities and water systems we serve.
Stay informed. Stay prepared. Stay safe.
