Houston Police and SWAT are on scene at Kingwood Lakes Apartments in Kingwood as negotiators continue giving commands to a barricaded suspect inside an apartment.

According to Hood News Peeps at the scene, children have safely exited the apartment. At this time, there is no word on whether anyone else remains inside with the suspect.

UPDATE

Authorities say a 15-year-old, who was with a group of teenagers riding 4-wheelers and hanging out on a construction road near Magnolia, drowned after wading into floodwaters near a retention pond.

The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office say the teenager sank when the water suddenly got deeper.

🚨 BREAKING: Lone Star College-Tomball has been placed on lockdown Tuesday afternoon.

The lockdown was reported shortly after 1 p.m. An emergency alert sent to the campus instructed students and staff to immediately shelter in place.

"ATTENTION: LSC-Tomball Main. Lockdown now. Go to nearest room and lock the door and stay quiet. THIS IS NOT A DRILL."

Authorities have not yet released details about what prompted the lockdown.

KPRC 2 is working to gather more information and will provide updates as they become available.
