Some gifts taste like home. Raw wildflower honey, pickled asparagus, peach habanero salsa: the kind of jars someone far away has been missing. The tricky part is the glass. Jars are heavy, lids can leak, and a box that's too big lets everything rattle around on the way.

So we pack them the right way: each jar sealed and wrapped, snug in a box sized to fit, nothing left to shift. And if it can't wait, we can send it next day so it shows up fresh. Whatever your family can't get anywhere else, we'll help you share it.

If you're shipping a treasure chest, this is the place. This antique dome-top trunk landed on our counter recently, original hardware, stamped tin trim and decades of stories in the wood. Pieces like this are trickier than they look: the wood is dry, the hinges are tired, and that curved lid won't sit flat in a standard box.

That's why we build the protection around the piece, not the other way around. This is a Trippensee planetarium - a working model of the Earth, Moon, and Sun. Move the arm and the gears and chains turn the globe and the moon as they circle the brass sun, so you can see how the seasons work.

It's also one of the hardest things to ship. Thin metal rods, small gears, chains, painted wooden balls, a globe on a spindle, a heavy brass sphere. One bad bump and something bends or comes loose.

This one came through our Kearney store. We braced the moving parts, wrapped the delicate pieces separately, and built a custom box around it so nothing could shift.

If you have something old, oddly shaped, or one of a kind, bring it in before you buy a box. We'll tell you how to move it.

Easy because it’s not a painting or a piece of furniture. Hard because it’s long, fragile, and the reel can break if it’s not wrapped right. One wrong move and you’re shipping someone a very expensive problem.
