You've been hearing a lot from us about next week's Summit and CONNECT Event, so we thought we'd share a little bit about how those events came to be.

In 2006, HGC graduated it's first cohorts of the Entrepreneurship Project. The CONNECT Event, was initially an opportunity for graduates of the program to get together, network, and celebrate their progress. Over the years, it grew to include coaches, volunteers, and more.

In 2016, HGC partnered with the Keene Sentinel to make CONNECT a standout a community event. It was hosted at Keene State College and brought in hundreds of attendees. It was at one of these events that the idea for using rural downtowns as conference venues came about.

Thus, in 2018, Radically Rural was born! CONNECT has remained an integral part of the conference. We hope you'll join us next Wednesday, October 6th to celebrate our 20th year of CONNECT at Stonewall Farm!

As we continue to grow and evolve at HGC, we're making intentional choices about where we invest our time and energy. We believe strong communities and engaged networks are built through authentic relationships, and we're practicing discernment by looking for ways to focus on more human and values-aligned strategies.

With that in mind, our Facebook account will no longer be active. You can still find us on Instagram and LinkedIn, and our newsletter remains the best way to stay connected to our programs, events, and stories: https://mailchi.mp/hannahgrimes/hgc-newsletter

For nearly 30 years, the Hannah Grimes Center has supported entrepreneurs, nonprofit leaders, and community builders working to strengthen rural communities across our region.

Over the past two years, our staff and board have been engaged in a strategic planning process to better articulate not just what we do, but why we do it.

We don’t approach this work alone. We depend on a community of innovative leaders, donors, and volunteers who believe rural communities deserve to thrive on their own terms.

If our mission resonates with you, please consider supporting us this NH Gives.
