Every business has 4 parts. Sales & Marketing, Administration, Finance, and Service & Products.

Having good legal help, bookkeeping, and an accountant, ALL fall under the heading of Administration. Administration isn't just being the boss. It is making sure that your employees are trained, taken care of, and know what your mission is.

If you are missing the Administration quadrant, you are probably swimming in circles.

I meet with businesses each day, every day. I talk to friends in business nearly every day. John Maxwell said “You can't lead and moan at the same time.” You and I need to be leaders. We need to bank on what we know, determine what we don't know, and not be afraid of the fact that "we don't know what we don't know."

Today, I was reading a 57-page contract with tiny print. I went for a walk with my wife because my eyes were glazing over.

Most businesses I meet with have gaps in areas. We all do.

The biggies are training, systems, not listening to wisdom and leadership thinking. If you and I want to become better businessmen and women, we need to become better leaders. Realize what we don't know. And let others provide support.

Business is hard enough (Inflation, fuel prices, and staffing) without shooting ourselves in the foot.

Let's begin to not only support one another but receive help, listen, and implement.

If we don't change where we are going, we end up where we are heading.

Someone asked me "what was your day like?"

Today was a Monday AND a new month!

I was up at 4 and working on my website, Positive News For You. Updated website-check it out. In the comments!

Then I went to help a friend with his back office. Adding income streams and walking through ALL that stuff; most businesses don't know what it even is.

After that, a call with a friend in business for an hour or so.

(Took a nap)

And then I began working on my own companies. Finding testers for a web app. Reviewing a new website. Developing another.

And answering all the emails and calls related.

I love being in business. Have since I sold my first item to make money for Christmas at 6 or 7.

This is a new economy. We are here. Let's make a difference in our business, our families, and our communities.
