At Shannon Ridge Family of Wines, we are dedicated to creating a family of wines that consumers love at top-quality and affordable prices. We are passionate about preserving our land, not only for great vineyard sites, but for the wild creatures which share our property. Our sustainability practices integrate a flock of sheep that clean the vineyards, remove the excess canopy, and reduce the need for chemicals, while providing natural fertilizer.

One of the big factors that separates Lake County wines from our neighbors in Napa & Sonoma, is the young volcanic soil of our region which yields grapes with distinctive character.

Back in the 1800’s when early immigrants first arrived in Lake County, California, and settled on what is now our land, they brought vines to plant and make wine for their families.

Today we are still making wine for our “village”, as we continue to cultivate tradition, connection, and sustainability from grape to glass.

At Shannon Ridge Wines, our canine team is an integral part of our sustainable livestock operation.

Our guardian dogs protect our band of sheep 24/7 from predators, while our herding dogs do the work of moving the animals from one grazing location to the next.
