Two 5-year-old twin sisters tragically drowned in the swimming pool of a vacation rental home in Kissimmee, Florida, on Friday.
Paisley and Parker were visiting from the Atlanta area with their family. They had only arrived at the short-term rental home hours before the heartbreaking incident. A 15-year-old family member had been left in charge of watching the children while their parents went to the grocery store.
Around 11 a.m., the girls were found unresponsive in the pool. Emergency responders rushed them to a nearby hospital, but they were later pronounced dead.
Neighbors described hearing a woman screaming for help. The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office called the deaths a devastating tragedy. The circumstances, including how the girls gained access to the pool, are still under investigation.
A GoFundMe describes the twins as inseparable, playful, and loving, with smiles that lit up every room. “To know Paisley and Parker was to love them.”
Please keep their family in your prayers during this unimaginable loss.

Even on warm, sunny days, water temperatures can remain dangerously low. 💙

Cold water shock can happen in seconds, causing an involuntary gasp, loss of breathing control and panic. This sudden reaction makes it much harder to stay calm and keep yourself safe.

Studies show that people’s ability to swim in cold water is significantly reduced compared to swimming in a warm pool, meaning even confident swimmers can quickly struggle.

Understanding these risks can make all the difference. Taking a moment to prepare and knowing how your body may react could help save your life.
