Turning raw land into the foundation for future growth. 🚜

This Careers in Construction Month, we’re highlighting our Equipment Operators. Running excavators, dozers, loaders, and motor graders, they move earth, prep sites, and grade surfaces with precision, where every movement matters.

Safety is a shared responsibility, and our operators lead the way, from equipment inspections to spotting hazards and communicating with crews. Working alongside Foremen, Superintendents, and Laborers, they adapt to changing conditions and take pride in doing the job right the first time.

There’s more than one path into the seat. Some start in entry-level roles and learn on the jobsite, while others come through specialized training programs.

To the Equipment Operators across Plateau and our family of companies: thank you for bringing skill and pride to every jobsite. 👷

Before the first machine ever hits the dirt, an Estimator has already been to work. 📐

For Careers in Construction Month, we’re spotlighting the people who lay the groundwork before the groundwork: our Estimators.

They dig into plans, specs, and bid documents to build competitive pricing, flag risks early, and set our crews up to win. Along the way, they build relationships with owners, general contractors, and our operations teams, so every project moves smoothly from preconstruction to ex*****on.

Whether you’re new to the industry or ready to grow your career, estimating lets you make an impact before construction even begins. 🚧

To the Estimators across the Plateau family: thank you for building the foundation for our success. 👏

🎉 Fun Friday Shout-Outs! 🎉

We’re celebrating TWO big birthday milestones for some longtime members of the Plateau family!

🎂 Brian Shipp, General Superintendent, celebrated 73 years young! Brian has been with Plateau for over 33 years.

🎂 Sean Whitaker, Senior Project Manager, celebrated 60 years young! Sean has been with Plateau for over 28 years.

That’s over 61 years of combined dedication, experience, and commitment to Plateau! 👏

It’s people like Brian and Sean who have helped build Plateau into what it is today. We’re grateful for their years of hard work, leadership, and the knowledge they continue to share along the way.

Project Managers keep our projects moving. 🚧

From planning to completion, Plateau PMs coordinate with clients, general contractors, field teams, and vendors, managing cost, contracts, and schedule with a constant focus on safety and quality.

When schedules shift or field conditions change, they evaluate, communicate, and make the call that keeps the job moving forward.

There’s no single path to becoming a PM. Some start in the field, others come through engineering, estimating, or Project Engineer and Assistant PM roles. What matters is the experience gained along the way and the people who invest in each other.

This Careers in Construction Month, we’re proud to recognize the Project Managers who turn plans into finished projects. 👷

One mile long. 60 feet at its peak. 🧱

Meet the latest project from Reinforced Wall Systems, the newest member of the Plateau family.

Walls like this take precise engineering, careful planning, and a crew that takes pride in getting every course right. We’re proud to have that expertise on our team, and this is only the beginning of what we’ll build together.

Welcome to the family, RWS. 👏

October is Careers in Construction Month. 🚧

No two careers here start in the same place or follow the same path. Some people know where they’re headed from day one. Others find opportunities they never imagined. What matters is the willingness to work hard, keep learning, and grow from the people around you.

At Plateau, growth looks different for everyone: mastering your craft, stepping into leadership, learning a new skill, or mentoring the next person coming up.

We’re growing, and we’re hiring across Plateau and our family of companies. Know someone who shows up, takes pride in their work, and can be counted on when it matters? Send them our way. Good people know good people.

People are our greatest asset. This month and every month, we’re proud of what we build together.
