Plant the seed. There is so much disconnection when it comes to Farm to Table. I recently saw a post where a comedian was harvesting pizza from vines as a bit of humor.
Is this what our kids think?
Do they really know what goes into putting food on the table?
So I'll say it again...plant the seed. Make it a fun summer project! It can be a veggies, fruit or even a flower! It's a great opportunity to show the next generation what it takes to grow just one plant and hopefully instill some appreciation for our farmers.
You dont need a farm or land to grow either! Strawberries, carrots, and lettuce are just a few thing that can grow in a pot and consume very little space. 🪴 🌱 🍓

In our house 💙+🤎=💚! The green egg here is an egg laid by our Olive Eggers. We are seeing a wide range of green from these Olive Egger hens. Colors range from teal to dark olive green speckled eggs. We have a small batch of Olive Eggers hatching in about 10 days. PM us if your interested! 💚
