We were renting stump grinders for awhile but purchased our own machine last summer. We are currently looking for stumps to grind in the 2026 season. Call or message us on here if you have a stump that needs ground out. Big or small we can handle them all.

When we bid on jobs we may not be the cheapest tree service out there but there is a reason behind that. We are safe and professional, We can fit our equipment into areas that most tree services can not get their equipment into, and when we bid on stump jobs we price clean up and backfill as standard. Other guys like to price their stumps expecting you to do the clean up and fill in the hole yourself.

We may have named our business after the town we live in but we will go anywhere from Columbus to Toledo and sometimes even a bit further than that.

We were renting stump grinders for the first few years now we’re getting our own.
When we grind stumps we try to go as deep as possible.

Our stump grinding price includes:
-The actual grinding or removal of the stump,
-Hauling off all the debris,
-Filling the hole back in with topsoil.

We used to shovel all the debris up by hand so we know first hand how much work is involved in the clean up and would not expect you the customer to do that yourself. Although we will lower our prices if you do wish to clean up yourself, we don’t expect that as our standard. Our new machine has a loader on it to make clean up easier and quicker. When we’re done grinding your stump and filling the hole back in you’ll forget you even had a tree there.

If you ask Kenton Tree Service for a price on stump grinding, our standard price includes the grinding or removal of the stump, removal of all the debris, and a backfill with topsoil. We can always lower our prices if you wish to do the clean up yourself but we do not expect that to be the standard.

We’re not calling anyone out with this post but some of the other guys you talk to will only give you a price on the grinding of the stump expecting you to do the clean up yourself. Other guys will tell you one price but if you want them to clean up that price doubles.

So Kenton Tree Service may not be the cheapest bid you receive but we may be expecting to do more work and give you a better product than some of the other guys you talk to.

We specialize in removing big unwanted and dead trees in really tight spaces.

We dropped a running engine in the old loader. I‘m currently looking for large straight trees to send to the mill and some smaller stumps to rip up around Hardin County.
