ATTENTION FLOOD VICTIMS:
In an effort to help our community to recover from natural disaster, we have been running service calls and quotes to repair generators that have been affected by flood water. Engines can be drained and have a chance at functioning again, but the electronic components do not.

Most costs to repair are showing to be almost equivalent to the cost of a brand new generator. We do not want our customers to feel like they have to take that much of a financial risk for repairs on major components.

If your generator or propane tank has been affected by the flood and is in need of a replacement, Texas Power and Controls will replace your equipment at cost. Whatever we pay for the generator and propane tank is what you pay for the generator and propane tank.

ATTENTION HUNT/ INGRAM TEXAS RESIDENTS- As cleanup of our community continues, we can't help but look ahead and be prepared for the rebuild to come. Members of the Hunt community may be wondering to what extent they should take their rebuild. The following article was released by UL just a few years ago highly suggesting that folks replace any interior wiring that has been touched by flood waters. This suggests that not only is it saturated with water, but it could be contaminated by chemicals and debris that have washed down river. This contamination of the wire may not look bad upon initial inspection, but that does not mean that it will not cause problems down the road. Before your GC comes through with Sheetrocking, we highly encourage you to replace the wire that has been affected. If you are unsure, please consult your electrician. If you do not have an electrician, please reach out to us at (830)285-7390 and we will get you connected with a reliable source. As a licensed electrical company, our electricians are also highly qualified to inspect the affected wires and make sure you only change what needs to be changed. As there are quite a few residents that do not have insurance, we will work with you on only replacing the wires that need to be replaced.
