🚨 BREAKING: Kerr County Courthouse closed indefinitely
The Kerr County Courthouse at 700 Main St. will be closed to the public for the foreseeable future due to severe flood damage — more than 6 feet of water hit the basement level.
⏱️ Timeline:

1st floor offices: relocated 1-2 weeks

2nd floor offices: relocated until the elevator is repaired (2+ months)

Basement offices: relocated up to 1 YEAR

All other county offices open as normal Monday, July 20.

Allie Burton Annex (550 Earl Garrett St.): Victims Services, HR, Treasurer, JP Pct. 3, Constable Pct. 3, Grants Coordinator, IT

AgriLife Extension Office (next to HCYEC): AgriLife Extension Agent

Old Municipal Court Building (301 McFarland St.): County Attorney, Commissioners' Court

Former Juvenile Detention Center (3501 Legion Dr.): County Auditor, County Court at Law

West Kerr County Courthouse Annex (510 College St., Ingram): Tax Assessor/Collector

Road & Bridge (3766 TX-27): Emergency Management Coordinator

Offices target reopening by Wednesday, July 22. Updates at kerrcountytx.gov and the county's page.

The Kerr County Court-at-Law has had to postpone hearings scheduled for Monday and Tuesday, July 20-21. Notices will be sent to applicable parties as soon as possible informing them of new times and location.

This change is necessary due to flooding at the courthouse and the need to temporarily relocate county operations.

Due to continued poor weather predictions and out of an abundance of caution, Kerrville ISD will remain closed on Wednesday, Feb. 1.

We will continue to monitor the weather and road conditions to determine a safe return to school.
