Access Behavioral Services provides behavior analytic (ABA) services to individuals and families

We believe in COMPASSION, AUTHENTICITY, COLLABORATION, AND PERSEVERANCE. Our goal is to increase the capacity of Southern Southeast Alaskan communities to effectively serve and support the needs of individuals with challenging behavior while celebrating diversity and working rigorously to recognize mental health needs and lived trauma when providing behavioral services.

We're a few weeks into the school year, and this is when behavior support plans matter most.
Access Behavioral Services partners with school teams across Alaska through hybrid on-site and remote support. That includes observation, coaching, and modeling of best practices. It also includes state-compliant FBA/BIP development, trauma-informed intervention, and school-wide positive behavior support designed for your building. After that, we stay with you through ongoing support and progress monitoring, so the plan keeps working after the school year starts.

Meet the team: Oumy Thioune, Clinical Administrator
By way of Alaska through military life, Oumy is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and Licensed Behavior Specialist with over six years of experience. She's also a part-time caregiver to a sibling with autism, an experience that fuels her full-time advocacy for accessible, high-quality, trauma-informed, and culturally competent ABA services, especially for low-income and historically under-served communities.
Grounded in her undergraduate training in Communicative Sciences and Disorders, and currently pursuing a Master of Social Work, Oumy brings a holistic, whole-person approach to everything she does, shaped by lived experience, clinical expertise, and a deep commitment to equity.
Outside of work, you'll find her crocheting, cooking, spending time with family, or out on community adventures.

Meet the team: Rebecca Parenteau, M.S., BCBA, LBA
Rebecca has worked with individuals on the Autism Spectrum for over 15 years, including years spent
traveling rural Alaska to support children, families, and school districts in need. As Clinical Director at
Access Behavioral Services, she leads consultation and training efforts across the state, with parent
training as one of her biggest passions.
When she's not working, you'll find her outside, tending her bees, or reading by the fire with a cup of
tea.

With over 15 years in Special Education and Human Services, Jill-Nicole brings a rare blend of teaching
and behavior analysis experience to every family and school she works with. She moved to Southeast
Alaska in 2015, fell in love with Ketchikan, and has spent her career helping individuals and
organizations build the tools they need for lasting success.
Her approach? Meet people where they are, and give them a real, well-rounded plan, not just a
diagnosis.
