Wine doesn’t need a to be a masterclass; it just needs a little time and good company.

Up here on the hill, some guests notice a hint of crisp apple, peach, or something they can’t quite name- and others just know the glass in their hand tastes even better with a lake breeze and people they love at the table. Both are exactly right. There’s no quiz at the end of a Vineyard View tasting, just room to relax, explore, and enjoy what’s in your glass without worrying about correct terminology.

While we don't have the Summer Music Series this week, we've got two big events next weekend to look forward to! 🥂

Next week, the hillside will be alive for two incredible days:

Friday June 5 | 6–8 PM
Summer Series live music with Big Blue House Band and food from JR'S Back Alley BBQ- good tunes, good smoke, and glasses of wine in hand as the sun drops over Keuka Lake.

Saturday, June 6 | 10 AM–5 PM
The Keuka Lake Wine Trail's Signature Wine & Cheese Lovers event is here at Vineyard View and our fellow trail wineries. Tickets must be purchased by June 1, and your pass includes the most delicious curated wine and cheese pairings all around the lake.

First time up the hill? Here’s how you can sip at Vineyard View.

You can settle in at the bar for a guided tasting with one of our team, or keep it a little more laidback with a flight and glasses out on the deck while you drink in the view. Most folks start with a flight: five handcrafted pours and about 45–60 unrushed minutes to swirl, sip, and chat.

Our Keuka Lake tasting room is open daily 10AM – 5PM, and our Seneca Lake room welcomes you on weekends. Same family wines, two Finger Lakes vistas to fall in love with. 😍

Here’s a little secret about grape buds: each one actually holds three chances- primary, secondary, and tertiary.

When a hard frost takes out that first, most fruitful bud, the backups can still push, but our crop can drop by more than two‑thirds due to a single cold morning. That’s what Adam’s showing you here in the vineyard.

Those later buds will likely break and bloom behind the rest, which means uneven growth and ripening we’ll be managing all season long. It’s the not‑so‑glamorous side of farming grapes in the Finger Lakes, but it’s all part of the story behind the wine in your glass!

Memorial Day Weekend asks us to slow down and remember the people who gave up their tomorrows so we could have ours.

Up here on the hill, we carry that gratitude close to home- from Adam’s years of service to the many families who visit us with their own stories of loved ones who served. Raising a glass by the vines and looking out over Keuka Lake feels different when you remember the sacrifices behind simple, peaceful moments like these.

If you’re spending part of this weekend remembering someone special, we’d be honored to be a small, quiet stop along the way!

Ready for the first summer night of live music on the hill?

The vineyards are waking up for summer, and we’re kicking it off the best way we know how: live music, lake views, great food from Moonchot's Authentic Thai Cuisine and glasses full. 🥂

Our first Summer Music Series night of the season is this weekend, and we’d love to have you here with us on the hillside. Pull up a chair, settle into the view of Keuka, and let Nate Michaels Music do the unwinding for you while we take care of what’s in your glass.

You’ve probably seen the headlines about frost damage in New York vineyards- in this video, Adam covers damage to our juice grapes grown for Welch’s, but the same cold snap hit affected our other vineyards as well.

Farming grapes in the Finger Lakes always means working with the weather, and some years ask a little more from us. This season won’t be easy, but we’re doing everything we can to care for the vines and the wines you love!

Our Live Music Summer Series at the Keuka Lake tasting room is kicking off, and we’ve lined up some of our favorite bands and food partners so you can make a whole evening of it. *Music runs 6–8pm with food starting at 5pm each night.

From “I do” to “cheers to 50 years” our locations on Keuka Lake and Seneca Lake have become the backdrop for some of the sweetest chapters in our guests’ stories- rehearsal dinners, milestone birthdays, anniversaries, reunions, and everything in between.

At Vineyard View Winery, you can host a private tasting with vineyard and lake views, gather your favorite people for a long-table dinner on the hillside, and turn a simple celebration into an evening of wine, stories, and sunset photos you’ll treasure.

We offer private event spaces at both tasting rooms:
Keuka Lake: Our original vineyard-covered hillside with that classic incredible view of the lake deck.
Seneca Lake (The Meadows): A newer tasting room and event venue overlooking peaceful meadows in partnership with Sweet Farm.
