In the United States, Flag Day is celebrated on June 14. It commemorates the adoption of the flag of the United States on June 14, 1777, by resolution of the Second Continental Congress. The Flag Resolution, passed on June 14, 1777, stated: "Resolved, That the flag of the thirteen United States be thirteen stripes, alternate red and white; that the union be thirteen stars, white in a blue field, representing a new constellation." 🇺🇸

In all my years of being involved with politics, and a county Mayoral race back in 2011, it’s unfortunate that some have tried to make this about partisan politics and not the issues that we face as a community. Take a look at the so-called "spaghetti models" for Hurricane Isaias, which show the tracks predicted by the various computer forecasting systems. Nearly all take the storm off the coast of Florida — but there are outliers. The maps update regularly.
