Blessing of the Fleet January 1st 8:30 AM
The Islamorada Charter Boat Association invites you to join us for the Blessing of the Fleet on January 1st 2024. No boat to big, no boat to small, all boats can be blessed at the annual blessing of the fleet. We encourage you to decorate your vessel but it is not required. Boats will start gathering at 8:00 ocean side of the Whale Harbor channel. At 8:30 AM boats will follow the newly refurbished Gonefishin IV down the channel. Boats will monitor channel 79 stating the boat name as they approach the bridge. Your boat will be blessed by this year’s honorary clergy. If you don’t have a boat you can watch the parade of boats from shore with plenty of parking at Whale Harbor and Post Card Inn. Please join us for the after party at Angler House Marina in Islamorada. The annual blessing of the fleet is brought to you by the Islamorada Charter Boat Association whose mission is to promote the charter boat business and the welfare of Association members, to promote and support any and all legislation that enhances the goals of the charter boat and related businesses, to encourage and support the fisheries locally and of the world, and to support the safe-boating standards set forth by the US Coast Guard.
