• Developed along with the City of Newark Department of Development and several other local community development corporations, the Springfield Avenue/Kent/Brenner Street Project which encompasses 40 square blocks in Newark’s Central Ward this 250 million dollar project consist of 16 blocks of retail and commercial development and units of market and affordable housing.
• Responsible for the construction management of Corinthian Grace Estates a 23-unit 3.6 million dollar town home complex.2001-2005
• Managed Corinthian Homes this 12 million dollar project consist of 94-unit’s of tax credit rental town homes.
• As Deputy Executive Director of the Newark Tenants Council, Inc I was responsible for the day-to-day operations and programs of the agency that included managing a staff of 70 employees with an annual budget of 3 million dollars.
• Worked with the Newark Housing Authority in the development of several hundred units of low-income housing, which included design, development and the management of the HUD Section 3 Program, which dealt with the hiring of minority contractors on HUD, funded projects.
• Managed and conducted all aspects resident and senior housing maintenance programs this included regular meeting with all department heads of the Newark Housing Authority to ensure that all issues from heating to site construction where done properly.
• Responsible for developing the first Home Ownership Program for the Newark Housing Authority of Mount Pleasant Estates a 51-unit town home complex.
• Organized and managed a computer training lab for the Newark Tenants Council where residents of Public Housing received basic and advance training computer also job placement skills.
• Established and managed staff development training for 30 child daycare staff which included that daycare staff had the proper state certifications and proper child development skills.
