Killeen Friends & Neighbors

Tonight, I had the opportunity to speak at the City Council meeting
During a time of transition, I shared one clear message:
stability matters.

As the council considers an interim city manager, it’s important that we focus on continuity—keeping our city operating smoothly, departments aligned, and services consistent for our residents.

At the same time, I believe the selection of a permanent city manager is one of the most important decisions a council will make.

With a new council coming in, this is an opportunity to ensure that the recruitment, interviewing, and appointment process reflects the direction and priorities of our city moving forward.

Because decisions at this level don’t just affect City Hall—
they impact our neighborhoods, our services, and our everyday quality of life.

It should protect neighborhoods, support families, and create a future we’re proud of—not confusion, overcrowding, or mismatched development.
