Walker County Voters: This Is Not Normal. This Is Not Acceptable. And It Is Not Leadership.

If anyone is still wondering why Nick Smith should NOT be re-elected as Walker County Sheriff, here is the reality — not rumors, not opinions, not politics — the public record.

During Sheriff Nick Smith’s administration, THIRTY (30) people connected to the Walker County Sheriff’s Office have been charged with federal or state crimes.

Not investigated quietly.

When 30 people connected to one administration end up charged — many pleading guilty — the problem is not coincidence.

The problem is who was in charge.

Walker County Deserves Better

You don’t reward failure.
You don’t excuse chaos.
You don’t “wait and see” after this level of damage.

You change leadership.

This is about public trust, public safety, and basic competence.

Walker County should never again be nationally embarrassed by its Sheriff’s Office.
That starts by not re-electing the administration that produced this mess.
