AW Laser Art -was formed in January 2015 in Kimball, Nebraska. Amber Wilke, owner, was leaving her corporate accounting job to provide more help with family businesses. While the family farm, feedlot and manufacturing business kept her busy, she wanted something of her own. The first laser arrived that January and she believed she would use it for wood projects, as that is what she was familiar with. However, the popularity of custom tumblers started that spring and the business started evolving quickly. The process of full color sublimation was added in 2016 and her daughter, Krystal, took over that portion of the business. By 2021, the business built its own shop and moved out of the spare bedroom of Amber’s house. That same year a wide format printer was added and the catalog of services and products expanded dramatically.
In 2021, Krystal decided to leave her teaching career and join the family businesses full time. By joining full-time Krystal was able to focus more on AW Laser Art and more expansion plans began. Custom apparel was added to line up, as well as the ability to design, host and fulfill merchandise stores for customers. With both women able to spend more time working together, they started going to multiple large trade shows a year.
It had always been a dream for both family businesses to open a retail store. That dream became a reality in 2024 when AW Laser Art and 3W Livestock Equipment jointly opened in Sterling, CO. The store is managed by Krystal and has allowed the business to expand beyond their wildest dreams.
AW Laser Art specializes in customized items including livestock tags, drinkware, apparel, hats, promotional items, banners and awards. The large showroom includes gifts, home decor, jewelry, graphic tees, hats and more. Personalization is a specialty with a large catalog of products to choose from. AW Laser Art is proud to offer in-house design and logo work, which allows clients to work alongside from the beginning to end of the production process.
AW Laser Art can be found at 18596 County Road 24, Unit A. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9-6, Saturday 9-1. They can be reached at 308-235-5322 and also be found at awlaserart.com or on Facebook.
Please join the Logan County Chamber of Commerce in congratulating AW Laser Art as this week’s Member of the Week and tying our Community together!
