Introduction to Aquaculture! 🐟➡️⬇️
Our system is home to Rainbow Trout! A cold, freshwater species native to streams and rivers in North America.
Our display contains three different age groups: 10 months, 16 months and 24 months old to showcase the growth rate and size of these wonderful fish.
The set up we have here is an example of a Recirculating Aquaculture System (RAS) where the water is recirculated through a filtration system reducing the toxic ammonia from the fish waste by beneficial bacteria!
