Crew 272, is going to State! We are a STEM crew specializing in robotics. As a First Tech Challenge robotics team. We just qualified to go to the State Level Completion. Space Jam is our out-reach to spread STEM opportunity to Scouts around the world. Our robot uses vision systems, odometer path building, PID optimization. All programmed, designed and build by crew members! Space Jam funds our Crew. We have goals to go to the World Level Completion in the coming years.

Space Jam Astronaut Cadet? Get the Steam game Kerbel Space Program (Version 1.2)... I have orbited the home planet and brought my Kerbel back home! There is a series of You Tube videos to get you going! This is for real, NASA Engineers learn orbital mechanics with this game!

Brad, the brains behind our website, did some tweaking to make it easier to find the schedule, badges, and get registered for Space Jam 20. In spite of the earlier challenges, we are off to a great start getting everyone registered. Make sure your Scout has their own email, you have your Scoutmaster's email, and you know your own email and Snail mail addresses! Get registered. Work with your Scout to pick a mix of Eagle required and MB's of interest. Three, and no more than four...

Space Jam 20, Aug. 1st 2026, is open for registration. There are 46 merit badges available (96 sessions). A SJ signature is Space Exploration. If you really want to be a Rocket Scientist, you need to learn orbital dynamics. How? Buy the Kerbal Space Program (now $10 on Steam- till Dec 8th). Many NASA Engineers and Scientists say Kerbal was how they learned orbital dynamics, and it is fun (frustrating in the beginning). So sign your Scout up for Space Jam STEM MB Event (Zoom, so you can be anywhere on Earth), and get them Kerbal... Now you have planted the seeds of a future Rocket Scientist (or Plant Scientist, we need plants on our way to Mars LOL). We offer both Plant Science and Rocket Sciences, and 44 more...

In Kerbal Space Program, take charge of the space program for the alien race known as the Kerbals. You have access to an array of parts to assemble fully-functional spacecraft that flies (or doesn’t) based on realistic aerodynamic and orbital physics.

In keeping with Space Jam 20's theme of Global Connections, I head to the end of the earth! Last day at KiteParadise Sakalava Bay, Madagascar. Got a morning session in. The wind picked up to 37 mph peaks, with 25 mph steady!

Space Jam 19 Blue cards are all ready to go to the post office (the second run, first went out on Friday). Days of paper cutting (3 cards to a page 😁) and stuffing. Wow, we use a lot of blue stock paper 🤩. Congratulations to all the Scouts! I know a lot of prep work was done and it showed. There are still some incompletes, do the work and get it to your MBC's, we can update the blue card and you can print it directly from SpaceJamboree.org. SJ-20 is August 1st 2026. We plan to have several off-season MB sessions this year, stay tuned!

Another Space Jam (19) is in the books and Brian is still smiling! We have weeks of work getting all the partials completed, and Blue cards and patches mailed out. A huge thank you to our volunteers! We had two aol dot com emails addresses that didn't get Zoom emails. They called and switched to Gmail. Space Jam 19 is Saturday. Everyone should have gone in and created an itinerary to make Saturday. Easier to navigate. Noting times etc. Zoom uses your local time.

We are full! I opened the Zoom Lobby, using your Scout's email (or whatever you registered as your Scout's email) find the Zoom invite (mailed 7/24 at 11:54pm Eastern), log in (requires either a Zoom account - created using the Scout's email OR use a code that will be sent to that email. Once in, go to the Sessions tab, bookmark your classes (by clicking on the box icon with an inverted "V" notched out of it; on the right. Now you have an Itinerary tab all set up with your classes. There will be a How To Q&A at 9:30 Eastern and a Keynote at 2pm Eastern, add those to your itinerary too.
