This time of year, we get lots of calls about snakes. In general, they don't stick around very long and will likely move on if left alone. Snakes are ambush predators and don't want to be seen. The best way to keep them out of your yard is to maintain short grass and trimmed shrubbery.

Termite Tuesday: Spring is here, and that means termite swarms. The picture on the left is what termites look like when they emerge to start new colonies. The picture on the right is what you sometimes find after a swarm occurs. The termites will pair up, shed their wings and try to get back into the ground.

Termite Tuesday: Given time and the right conditions, termites can make it from ground level into attic spaces. We find this more than you might expect but in almost all of these cases there is plenty of evidence of the infestation in lower portions of the structure.
