I’m taking a BIG leap in my business, and it’s got me thinking…

What does it truly mean to step outside your comfort zone as a LEADER? 🤔

I’m transitioning from HR to focus on my passion: LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT! ✨

It’s been years in the making, but even so… it feels like walking a tightrope without a net! 😬

After 8+ years as “HR Ashley,” this shift feels HUGE.

But the call to empower women leaders is too strong to ignore! 💪

Have you ever felt like you were good at something… but it wasn’t quite the right fit? 👀

I’m making big changes in my business this year, and it all started with realizing my HR work was in the “Zone of Excellence,” not “Zone of Genius.” 🤯

Ever heard of these concepts from The Big Leap?

👉 Zone of Excellence = skilled tasks, good living, but little or not much passion.

👉 Zone of Genius = natural gifts, energy, time flies – it’s where you THRIVE. ✨

For me, leadership development? Helping women step into their full power? 🔥 Pure Zone of Genius!!

While it sounds pretty straight forward, it was a gradual realization over the years for me.

I remember drowning in employment regulations 😴, then having a call with a client struggling with a tricky employee issue.

We worked through it, and by the end, she felt supported, empowered, and eager to tackle the problem head on.

And me? I was feeling like I was standing on top of the world!

THAT’S my Zone of Genius. 💪

Life’s too short for “almost right.”

That’s a real text I sent this past June! 👆🏻

Today, I thought I’d share a bit more about my journey to quit HR and embark on this new adventure.

As I mentioned in my last post, I had been craving change for a while.

I’ve always been a big fan of change.

I love the newness of change and the adventure of figuring things out. (This is one reason I love owning a business!)

But change isn’t always easy. (Or…is it ever easy? 🥹)

I had tried to make a drastic change in my business before, but it fell flat due to fear of the unknown, faltering self-confidence, and not having a clear and strategic direction.

This time around, I had worked through the fear of the unknown and built up my self-confidence.

I was finally ready to take the leap! 🏃🏻‍♀️

But I knew I wanted expert help with gaining the clarity I needed and crafting a strategic direction to go in!

In late Spring 2024, I started researching who I needed and I thought, “I need a positioning coach.” 💡

By the time vacation rolled around in June, I still hadn’t found exactly what I needed.

I unplugged, went on vacation, and thought, “I’ll pick this back up when I get home next week.”

The day I returned from vacation, the first social post I saw was from the brilliant and talented Suzi Gray of Captivation House.

She was promoting a couple of limited spots in her Signature program…

And it was EXACTLY what I needed! 🤯🤩

I quickly read her post, then popped over to her sales page to get the whole scoop.

I was SOLD! 🙌🏻

Within a few minutes, I sent her the message above, because “I knew it was right on time for me.”

I’ve been following Suzi for years and watched her go through her own repositioning with grace and ease.

I knew she was the exact right expert to help me…and her offer couldn’t have come at a more perfect time. 🥹

I signed up that day and spent 6 incredible weeks working with Suzi!

I’m not ready to spill allllll the beans yet, but I hope this gives you some more insight into my journey.

It’s been filled with loads of heart, intention, strategy, and JOY…and I look forward to continuing to bring you along! 🫶🏻
