First adventure into epoxy resin with wood. The lid on this box started out from a live edge piece of cherry to which we added copper colored epoxy. From there the piece was resawn and saneded to 1/4" in thickness. The lid is unique in that the live edge carries through to the inside of the lid, but is a difference shape due to the thickness of the wood. This one celebrates the lighter sapwood found near the bark of the tree...coolest thing about these is that there will literally never be any two that are the same.

And is cut by the very farmers who are responsible for your eggs and milk. We're in Chichester, NH on this beautiful day watching cherry and elm hardwoods being cut that will soon be your next generational keepsake box. It literally is "farm to table." !

We have spent a lot of time over the last six months developing a supply chain of local businesses in the wood industry to find something different. From tree care professionals, to sawyers operating on family farms, to wood people providing kiln drying services, we've met some of the best people around. After months of finding the right trees, sawn just the right way and dried to perfection, our new Ambrosia Maple lumber is so different than so much other "stuff" out there.
