I used to think my reason was simpleβ¦
I wanted another resource beside my full-time job.
But when I asked myself why that really mattered, the answer became deeper.
Because as an immigrant and breadwinner, I donβt only think about myself.
I think about my family.
My parents.
The sacrifices they made.
The comfort I still want to give them.
The future I still need to prepare for.
For many years, I was focused on working hard, providing, and giving back.
And Iβm grateful for that.
Iβm grateful for my career.
Iβm grateful for the opportunity to work.
Iβm grateful for the chance to help my patients as a Physical Therapist.
But one thing Iβm learning is thisβ¦
We can love our family deeply and still not forget to prepare for our own future too.
Because sometimes, as breadwinners, we get so used to giving.
We give our time.
We give our energy.
We give our strength.
We give what we can to the people we love.
And we do it with love.
But deep inside, there is also that quiet thoughtβ¦
βWhat about my future too?β
βWhat else can I build?β
βWhat if one income is not enough forever?β
βWhat if my body gets tired?β
βWhat if I want to keep helping my family, but also be ready for myself?β
Thatβs why I became curious about building something alongside my job.
Not to replace my career overnight.
Not because I had everything figured out.
Not because I was fearless.
But because I wanted to create more options.
Options to continue supporting the people I love.
Options to prepare for my future.
Options to grow beyond depending on only one source of income.
Options to build something slowly, even in the middle of a busy life.
And if Iβm being honest, one of the deeper reasons is thisβ¦
I want to fulfill a dream that has been in my heart for a long time.
To build a home for my mom and my siblings.
Not just because it is a house.
But because for me, it represents something much deeper.
A symbol of love.
A symbol of happiness.
A symbol of success.
A symbol of achievement.
A fulfilled promise as an eldest daughter.
Maybe some people will only see it as a goal.
But for me, it carries years of sacrifice, prayers, and quiet responsibility.
It represents the little girl in me who saw how hard my parents worked.
It represents the daughter who wants to give back.
It represents the immigrant who came here to build a better life.
It represents the breadwinner who wants to keep going, not just for today, but for the future.
And it also represents the woman I am becomingβ¦
someone who is learning that it is okay to dream bigger, prepare better, and build something meaningful.
This is one of the reasons I do what I do.
Itβs not just about business.
Itβs about family.
Itβs about preparation.
Itβs about growth.
Itβs about honoring the people who helped me become who I am today.
Itβs about learning new skills that may help create a different future.
Sometimes the reason underneath the reason is not just βI want more.β
Sometimes itβs:
βI want to keep helping my familyβ¦ but I also want to be ready for my own future.β
And maybe that is why this journey means so much to me.
Not because everything is easy.
But because the dream is meaningful.
