More than 5,700 farmers, both Farm Bureau members and non-members, from every state and Puerto Rico answered an American Farm Bureau survey about fertilizer supply and affordability. Over 80% of rice, cotton and peanut producers reported that they cannot afford all required fertilizer.

Youth from across the county recently participated in a YQCA (Youth for the Quality Care of Animals) training focused on proper livestock care and management. This hands-on class helped students build confidence and learn essential skills needed for safe, responsible animal care.

Participants received hands-on instruction in tagging livestock, giving livestock tattoos, and properly determining the dose and delivery of animal health products.

A big thank you to Dr. Tara Lynch for volunteering her time and expertise, and to Jerry May and May Precision Ag for providing the facility for this training. We appreciate your support in helping educate the next generation of livestock producers!
