Friends,
As we begin the finalizing of leaving the mercantile, we have made the decision to sell the stove and refrigerator. Not an easy choice, but it’s the best of the options available.

We’re asking $100 for for stove

We’re asking $100 for the refrigerator

What is it people say? “Our loss is your gain”

Edit to add: Thanks to a message, I am here to provide more information. Neither appliance is functional at this time.

The stove is kerosene fueled. The piping for the gas lines is rusted out and non-functional. This stove, as is, is purely a decorative piece. If you want to have it upgraded, there are still refurbishers available that can do the work, but it will be pricey.

The refrigerator is a 1935 Monitor Top GE. We were told it was functional when we picked it up, but the power cord plug had been cut off, and we have not taken the time to replace. This is also a non-functional, purely decorative, Appliance at this time.

Friends,
We have publically locked our door for the last time. We’ve counted down the drawer. We’ve stopped the music, and turned off the lights.

The store is quiet.

We thank you all, our friends who have shopped, our friends that have loved and supported us from far away, our friends that have listened while we’ve dreamed, while we’ve celebrated, while we’ve worried, and while we’ve been still. You have been our rocks, our stability, our sounding boards, our sense makers, and our glimpses of hope. Without *YOU*, this wouldn’t have worked the way it did, as well as it did, for as long as it did. Just like the construction out our front window, the momentary destruction making travel hard to navigate will be such a smoother road when it’s complete.

We’re going to pack and move into a new location, and we will still be the Black Barn Farm Mercantile and Nursery. We’re still us, and we’re still here, just looking out a new window.

I’ve used this YouTube link once before, when another opportunity to go on to another exciting adventure came up, and the tears shed then were still hard to smile through, but I did. Buddy has faced this same bittersweetness, and can take you through his journey, and can tell you that the change was difficult, but important.

We thank you all for so much that you’ve given us, and so much more than you’ll ever know you provided.

We appreciate you all,
Josh and Buddy

Friends,
Today is the final day open at our current location. The Black Barn Farm Mercantile is accessible without having to walk around construction work!

Come out to see us, stock up on your pantry items, pick up your wall decor and vintage pieces, and any furniture bought today means we don’t have to move it to Good Ole Days😊

We’re here till 5 today, and would love to see you.

Thank you for your friendships, your purchases,,and your generosity of spirit. We appreciate you all, more than we can express.

Friends,
What’s that you say? How do you get to the shop?

The joy of a small town is that even when parking is limited, a one block downtown is still pretty simple to navigate because of a lack of getting lost🤭

We’re here, and open, and packing up the back room while they rebuild the corner. Come by to visit, buy the small items or piece of furniture you’ve had your eye on, and plan to visit us next week at our new location inside Good Ole Days Antiques, 121 E Main.

Today until 4 and tomorrow until 5, come see us at 203 E Main, Knightstown.

And thank you.

Friends,
While we hoped that this would wait until Monday, that’s not the case. We are seeing significant pavement changes at the end of the today.

We are still open today and tomorrow until 4, Saturday until 5, but you just need to be slightly more aware of your surroundings to travel this direction.

Honestly, we hoped that we would have an uneventful last handful of construction-free days, but this just shows that life can always make us thankful for the times that have come before.

Come out to see us, make those purchases, and plan to visit us in our new location next week (Good Ole Days Antiques and Collectibles).

Friends,
We are seeing a change in construction status outside our window. Despite the betterment of town infrastructure, we are open for business through Saturday and welcome you to come see us before we move to Good Ole Days Antiques & Collectibles Knightstown, IN beginning next Wednesday (front right booth and window).

We’re here today and tomorrow 10-4 (please note the earlier close time), and Saturday 10-5. If we have something you want or need, it’s still available (unless someone else has already purchased it, but we’ll need you to stop in or call to check whether it’s still here🙂)

Friends,
This is a reminder post that this is our final week in the current location at 203 E Main St. We are here until end of business Saturday, July 30, and we will be moving stock and some furniture to the front right window at Good Ole Days Antiques & Collectibles Knightstown, IN.

Through Saturday, please know that we’re in and selling like usual, and beginning next week, you can find us in the middle of the next block or, for now, reach out through Messenger and we can make arrangements for anything not available in the new booth to be purchased and picked up at the farm.

We are still working out details to offer an e-commerce/online sales platform, but that won’t be operational immediately. We will keep stock separate from the booth to offer the best selection in two options.

Thank you all for your love and support, and come by soon to see us!

Prices range from $3-$8, plus one big $15 pot.

Come in now that the worst threat of rain has passed, and we’ll let you see, smell, and purchase anything you want.

And for those of you interested, the cart is, unfortunately, not for sale-it’s a store display.
