November brings holiday menus, holiday guests, and, for a lot of restaurants, holiday health inspections. 🍽️📋

Before the season picks up, it's worth asking: is your pest control documentation current, complete, and ready if an inspector walks in tomorrow?

Fall is exactly when pest pressure shifts indoors, which means kitchens, storage areas, and dining rooms all see increased activity right as your busiest, and most visible, season of the year begins.

Pest Authority works with restaurants and food service operations to keep documentation audit-ready year-round: scheduled service, detailed records, and fast response before an inspection finding becomes a bigger problem.

📲 October is a great time to start getting your pest documentation in order before the holiday rush.

Most people think about pest control in spring. Here's why fall is actually the smarter time to start. 🍂

It sounds backwards, bugs are supposed to be winding down, not gearing up. But fall is when:
✅ Overwintering pests, rodents, and spiders are actively pushing to get inside, meaning entry points are getting used and exposed right now
✅ A fall inspection catches the exact gaps pests are using in real time, instead of guessing where they might show up next spring
✅ Starting now means you walk into next year already on a recurring schedule, no restart delay, no spring scramble
✅ Locking in a plan before winter means service continues straight through, so nothing sneaks in over the colder months

Waiting until spring to start a recurring plan means giving fall pests a full season to get comfortable first.

📲 Start your recurring protection plan this fall, not next spring.

Found a stink bug on your curtains? It didn't move in alone. 🪲

A stink bug indoors isn't really a stink bug problem, it's an entry point problem. These pests don't burrow in or nest looking for food; they slip through the same small gaps that let in drafts, moisture, and other pests.

If you're seeing one or two, there's likely a gap somewhere near a window frame, siding seam, or utility line letting them (and other things) through.

Pest Authority's fall inspection identifies exactly where pests like these are getting in, so you're not just removing the bug you found, you're closing the door behind it.

📲 Schedule a fall entry-point inspection.

October is when the outside-to-inside migration hits its peak. 🍂

As weather conditions change, pests that spent all summer in your yard start looking for a way into your home instead:
🐜 Ants relocating colonies closer to structures 🕷️ Spiders following their food source through gaps and doors
🐭 Rodents scouting for sheltered spaces
🪲 Occasional invaders (stink bugs, boxelder bugs) staging near siding and windows

They're all using the same handful of entry points, utility line gaps, foundation cracks, door sweeps, roofline gaps.

Pest Authority's approach starts at the entry point, not after pests are already inside. We inspect, identify, and seal the specific gaps pests in your area are using, before the migration finishes.

📲 Get ahead of the fall push.

Year-round protection doesn't start in spring. It starts right now. 📋

Here's what Pest Authority's fall treatment plan actually covers:

🍂 OCTOBER, Occassional invaders (stink bugs, boxelder bugs, ladybugs) and rodents begin their move indoors. We focus on sealing entry points before they finish the migration.
🐭 NOVEMBER, Indoor pest prevention ramps up as entertaining season brings more traffic through doors that need to stay sealed.
🏠 DECEMBER, Year-round protection value check-in, confirming your home is set up to carry straight into next year with no gaps.

Every visit still includes interior treatment, BARRIER 360 perimeter protection, and free return service if something comes up between visits.

One plan. Every season covered, including the one most people forget about.

📲 Get your fall protection in place.

Rodents don't just leave droppings and noise. They chew. ⚡

Rodents' teeth never stop growing, so they gnaw constantly, and electrical wiring, insulation, and even gas lines are common targets. This isn't just an inconvenience:

🔴 Chewed wiring is a documented cause of house fires
🔴 Damage often happens inside walls and attics, out of sight until it's serious
🔴 Insurance claims tied to rodent damage can be complicated or excluded, depending on your policy

This risk builds whenever rodents find their way inside, because the spaces they settle into are exactly where wiring and insulation live.

Pest Authority's rodent program addresses this before it becomes a bigger problem than a pest problem.

Protect your home and your wiring. Schedule an inspection.

Here's what actually happens during a Pest Authority service visit. 👇

Inspection first. We check both inside and outside your home, including the foundation, entry points, attic, crawlspace, and known problem areas, to identify current activity rather than guess at it.

Targeted treatment. Products are applied where pests are actually active and where they enter, not sprayed broadly across the whole property.

Sealing recommendations. Where gaps or entry points are found, we flag them so they can be closed off, not just treated around.

Documentation. Every visit is recorded, so you always know what was found, what was done, and what's being monitored.

This isn't a spray-and-leave. It's a program built around your specific property.

📲 Schedule your seasonal service visit.

Rodent control isn't a trap in the garage and a "good luck." Here's what a real Pest Authority rodent program actually includes. 👇

1️⃣ Inspection. We identify existing activity, entry points, and conditions attracting rodents to your property.

2️⃣ Exclusion. We seal or flag the gaps, gaps around utility lines, and foundation openings that rodents are using to get in.

3️⃣ Targeted treatment. Bait and trap placement based on where activity is actually occurring — not a generic setup.

4️⃣ Monitoring. Recurring checks through the fall and winter, when rodent pressure is at its highest.

September is the month to start this — before rodents are established for winter, not after you hear them in the walls.

📲 Schedule a rodent inspection.

Summer programs, camps, and daycares operate in a zero-tolerance environment.

One pest sighting — whether it's a wasp nest near the playground or ants in the snack room — isn't just a comfort issue. It's a child safety and liability issue.

For facilities serving children, Pest Authority provides:
• Safe, EPA-registered treatments
• Documentation and service records for compliance
• Flexible scheduling around program hours
• Proactive monitoring — not just reactive treatment

Kids deserve a safe space to learn and play. We help protect it.

Ask about commercial accounts for educational facilities.

Wasps in the yard. Ants in the kitchen. Spiders creeping in from the garage.

Summer has a way of reminding you that pests don't take a vacation.

The good news: neither do we.

One Pest Authority plan covers your home: inside and out, pest by pest, season by season.

No juggling multiple services. No "we only handle that one." Just comprehensive protection from the name that means it: The Authority.

To the dads who check the deck before letting the kids run out.

Who mow the lawn even when it's 90 degrees.
Who "take a look" at whatever's buzzing in the bushes even when they probably shouldn't.
Here's to the dads who take care of everything — and the ones who know when to call in backup.

Happy Father's Day from all of us at Pest Authority.

Don't wait until you have an ant problem. Try these 3 things to keep ants out of your kitchen. ??

𝟭. 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗱.
Ants don't need much space. Check around window frames, door sweeps, and the gaps where pipes enter the wall. A bead of caulk goes a long way.

𝟮. 𝗘𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲𝘀.
Ants scout for food AND water. Fix dripping faucets, dry out the area under your sink, and don't leave standing water in pet bowls overnight.

𝟯. 𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗹.
Once ants find a food source, they leave a pheromone trail for the rest of the colony. Clean counters with a vinegar-water solution to disrupt the scent path. Move pantry items to sealed containers.

These three steps stop a surprising number of minor ant problems before they escalate.

But if you're seeing ant scouts daily, finding them near multiple entry points, or noticing trails that keep coming back, that's a colony that's established nearby and needs professional treatment to address the source. Our Revolutionary BARRIER 360 system prevents ants from entering your home.
