I knew setting a goal of 24 books in 2021 was probably a stretch. However, much to my surprise, I’m already 1/3 of the way there by mid February. I can attribute this progress to a single book that I think I can honestly describe as “life changing”.
‘Think Like A Monk; Train your mind for peace and purpose every day’ was packed with fascinating insight from Jay Shetty, whom left the ashram to bring applicable Monk practices and philosophies to lay people. Thinking like a monk helps you to overcome negativity, find your true calling (your Dharma) and learn to practice mindfulness. BUT MOST OF ALL, it helped me to stop (decrease at least) overthinking.
What I loved about this book the most though, is a practice I have learned and applied for the last 30 days or so. I begin every day with the acronym “TIME”.

To keep myself accountable, I began to write them down in a journal each day. It has made a noticeable difference to me, as well as to those around me.
I haven’t been able to tell enough people about it!
