Grateful for the opportunity to keynote the EMAT Conference this week and speak about The Power of Trust.

Trust is gained through small, repeated actions people witness long before pressure shows up. In emergency services, leadership, and life, trust becomes the foundation people stand on when uncertainty hits.

It was an honor to return to an association that has meant so much to me and to share this message with professionals who understand what it means to serve when the stakes are high.

The last six weeks at Recovery Trails Men’s House meant a lot to me. Every Tuesday night, I spent time with a group of men who are working hard, growing, and fighting for something better. I hate that our time together has ended, but I’m excited for where they’re headed. Proud of you guys.

She picked up a flute, and a whole story followed. Late nights, rehearsals, concerts, miles traveled, and moments I’ll never forget. She grew up, she worked hard, and she stayed the course. This weekend marked the end of an era and closed a chapter I never wanted to see end. I’m grateful I had a front-row seat. Proud of you.

Yesterday, I had the privilege of speaking with more than 80 County Trustees from across Tennessee at the conference about “The Power of Trust” and how true leadership begins within.

It was an honor to meet so many dedicated public servants and share “Wisdom at a Cost” with a few winners during the book giveaway.
