I attended "Wolverine Farrier School" in 2000-2001, as well as several apprenticeships throughout my career, I am pleased to offer a quality service to you and your horses. Each year, several continued educational events are attended to advance understanding of every facet of horsemanship. In 2016, I have attended: International Hoof Care Summit; Esco Buff (understanding LLD); Esco Buff (founder and laminitis technique/radiography); and preregistered for Equine Podiatry Conference.

I studied under master and mentor Mark Lucas for draft horse shoeing, as well as several local farriers for a day here and there to pick up any tips and tricks they may be willing to share.

My 19 years of experience as a rider, radiograph tech, brood mare manager, and weanling handler, as well as farrier and equine dentist, have prepared me well as a horseman to be a useful resource to my clients.

Working as the farrier for River Glen during the Cross Country Jumping Show 🐎

The horse pictured was tied to a tree instead of being held by the owner, the horse pawed at the tree, the foot got hung up and in panic the horse broke the limb. You likely can not save a horse with this severe of an injury. Horses are prey animals, if they panic they can injure themselves and those around them.

Whenever I suggest as a farrier you do something a certain way, or avoid doing something a certain way remember that I give advice based on experience and experience of others.
