Today, we pause to remember the events of September 11, 2001, and the nearly 3,000 lives tragically lost. On this solemn day, we honor the courage and selflessness of the first responders—firefighters, police officers, paramedics, dispatchers, and countless others—who put everything on the line in the face of unimaginable danger.

Among those brave heroes were members of our own Priority Ambulance family, who answered the call without hesitation. Their actions serve as a powerful reminder of the unwavering strength, resilience, and unity that define us as a nation.

As we reflect on this day, let us stand together in remembrance and resolve to carry forward the spirit of compassion and service that emerged from tragedy.

We will never forget.

EMS Week brings together local communities and medical personnel to honor the dedication of those who provide the day-to-day lifesaving services of medicine's frontline.

This year, we asked employees to share their personal EMS stories by submitting an essay to our Where Emergency Care Begins Essay Contest. We received so much more than simple essays of EMS journeys, but rather heartfelt and compelling stories of personal struggles, challenges, accomplishments, and heroism that led to the decision to pursue careers in EMS.
