Skilled Nursing / Short-Term Rehab – Night Shift
📍 Location: Lafollette, Tennessee
💰 Pay Rate: $35/hour
🎓 Orientation: 16 hours paid at $14/hour
🩺 Position: LPN/LVN – Skilled Nursing
📅 Contract: 13 Weeks
🌙 Shift: Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Position Overview
NURSEFirst is seeking an experienced LPN for a Skilled Nursing/Short-Term Rehabilitation assignment. This position primarily supports skilled residents while providing quality bedside nursing care in a team-oriented nursing home environment.
Patient Population:
- Short-Term Rehab residents
- Long-Term Care residents
- Primarily assigned to the 17-bed Skilled Unit
- May float to Long-Term Care as needed
Responsibilities
- Medication administration and medication pass
- Complete resident rounds
- Provide direct patient/bedside care
- Monitor and assess residents
- Supervise CNAs
- Wound care as needed
- Provide nursing care for skilled and long-term care residents
- Maintain accurate documentation in PointClickCare
- Follow facility policies, procedures, and standards of care
Assignment Details
- Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:17
- Skilled Beds: 17
- Long-Term Care Beds: 55
- EMR: PointClickCare
- Scrubs: Royal Blue
- Call: No Call
- 48-Hour Option: Not Available
- Block Scheduling: Possible — must be requested at time of submission
- Floating: Possible to Long-Term Care
Requirements
- Active Tennessee LPN License
- BLS
- Minimum 1 year of Long-Term Care experience
- Nursing home experience required
- Skilled nursing/rehab experience preferred
- IV Certification preferred
- Strong medication administration and patient-care skills
- Ability to supervise CNAs and work independently in a skilled nursing environment

💼 Position Details

Position: Registered Nurse – Complex Medical Unit / Med-Surg
Setting: Acute Care Hospital

🌙 Shift:
• Nights: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• 12-hour shifts with a 30-minute lunch

👩‍⚕️ Unit Details:
• Typical patient ratio: 1:6
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirement

✅ Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience required
• Experience must be in a comparable-acuity hospital setting
• BLS required
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Must have an active, unencumbered Tennessee RN license or valid compact/multistate RN license
• Pending licenses are not accepted
• First-time travelers will be considered

📅 Time-Off Requirements

Entire weeks during the holidays will not be approved. Individual requested dates may be considered based on staffing and unit needs.
