Western Girls Golf Fundraiser today went well today! I want to thank all of the sponsors and teams for being a part of this outting.

The Western Girls did a great job hosting the event and as usual Chippendale’s course was outstanding.

I want to specifically thank Brent Cavazos Appraisals and Estimating, Maximond Roofing and Restoration, VanHawk Roofing and Restoration for their hole sponsorships, and Professional Roofing Solutions and Construction for bringing in a four man team to support Hayden and Olivia.

There are so many more sponsers that need to be addressed like Comfort Keepers, P.F. Hendricks, Prime 47 and many more. It was hot and humid but it was a beautiful day once rhe clouds cleared.

Good Luck Western Girls Golf, we look forward to seeing you play this year! Thank you to the patents and coaches that helped make this happen!

Please share this and keep consumers aware of the insurance companies that are bad actors. These insurance companies have moved to protecting shareholders instead of the policyholders paying their premiums.

Here is a great article on State Farm’s continued attempt to defraud Insureds from legitimate claims. Imagine losing a family memeber then having to worry about fighting to get the claims payout. Insurance is supposed to give you the comfort of knowing you will be indemnified in the case of a loss.

On October 31, 2023, a Santa Fe jury decided that Andrea Lovato was not fully at fault for the accident and that State Farm had breached the $1,000,000 contract, committed bad faith, and violated the Unfair Trade Practices Act and Unfair Insurance Practices Act. The Jury awarded the family $12,000,0...

Looks like the Florida CFO does not either 1. Understand why Public Adjusters and Attorneys are needed in assisting the citizens of Florida recover full and fair claims settlements or 2. Just doesn’t care due to Carrier received campaign funds. I would ask that Gov. Desantis look into the misrepresentations and derogatory remarks made in a broad statement about the Florida Licensed Public Adjusters and Attorneys.

This said the Insurance Carriers are allowed to have Unlicensed Adjusters as long as the Insurance Carrier has them on their payroll. How is this fair to the Insured. Unlicensed, and Untrained Adjusters are allowed to blaintantly under estimate and under pay the Storm Victims of the State of Florida, yet Mr. Patronis wants to call the real help, “Locust”.

Good thing there are Associations like the American Policyholders Association (APA), and Florida Association of Public Insurance Adjusters (FAPIA) to fight back, along with the residence of Florida who are learning who will help them in their time of need.

To all experiencing Flooding from these Flash Floods in the Missouri and Kentucky areas. First we hope you and your loved ones are safe. Second, it is important that you make sure you are adhering to the policy conditions. These are stressful times and most do not know what is in their policies or the conditions that need to be addressed.
Some Carriers and their adjusters may fail to mention certain duties that are required per you agreement with them.
As an Example here is a passage from a Llyod's Flood Policy:
G. Requirements In Case of Loss
Incase of a flood loss to the insured property, you must:
4. Within 60 days after the loss, send us a proof of loss, which is your statement of the amount you are claiming under the policy, signed and sworn to by you, and which furnishes us with the following information: …,
7. The insurance adjuster whom we hire to investigate your claim may furnish you with a proof of loss form, and she or he may help you complete it. However, this is a matter of courtesy only, and you must still send us a proof of loss within 60 days after the loss even if the adjuster does not furnish the form or help you complete it.
This is very important to complete it can cause issues with payments or coverages if not completed. If we move to the Loss Payment portion of the Policy it reads as follows:
J. Loss Payment
1. We will adjust all losses with you. We will pay you unless some other person or entity is named in the policy or is legally entitled to receive payment. Loss will be payable 60 days after we receive your proof of loss (or within 90 days after the insurance adjuster files an adjuster’s report signed and sworn to by you in lieu of a proof of loss) and:
a. We reach an agreement with you;
b. There is an entry of a final judgment; or
c. There is a filing of an appraisal award with us, as provided in VIII.M.
2. If we reject your proof of loss in whole or in part, you may:
a. Accept our denial of your claim;
b. Exercise your rights under this policy; or
c. File an amended proof of loss, as long as it is filed within 60 days of
the date of the loss.

If you have any questions or concerns about you policy language give us a call and we will review the claim and see if we can assist in the matter.
