The effects of the developing Super El Niño are already being felt across the globe and here in the US - and it likely played a part in recent excessive Midwest/OH Valley rains.

While September may start out a bit more active - the typical El Niño influence would favor a generally less active Ohio Valley rain pattern this Fall with the jet stream splitting north and south of the area.
