6 years ago we moved in to the office on Albright after the tornado forced us to move. We weren’t looking to move again. However, opportunities present themselves and this is one I couldn’t turn down. Goodbye Albright office and hello Plate Street office.

Provide high-level accounting support by handling client information requests, client project management and performing accounting and payroll functions. The Accounting Assistant will aid the Account Manager with client tasks on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.

Tasks
• Perform client management duties including posting to QuickBooks, preparing deposits, invoices and or bill paying.
• Process payroll, schedule liability payments, file payroll returns.
• Resolve payroll tax issues with state and federal agencies.
• Process child support and garnishment payments.
• Process retirement payments.
• Client support tasks including project research and data entry.

Knowledge
• Accounting: Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures. Good math skills and the ability to spot numerical errors. Must have hands-on experience with QuickBooks. Experience in payroll; processing, laws, and tax.
• Clerical: Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology. Must have thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• English Language: Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.

• Customer and Personal Service: Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
• Work Habits: Ideal candidate will be self-motivated; be able to work independently; be highly organized; be detailed oriented and be adept at multi-tasking.
