In November of 2015, Prodigy Whitetails was founded with a handful of lifelong friends who all share the same passion; the great outdoors. I grew up in the small town of Sour Lake, Texas, where management is virtually unheard of. Everyone and their neighbor is a deer hunter and will not hesitate to bag the first thing that steps out, regardless of age or maturity. As an avid outdoorsman, the thou
ght of these animals reaching their maximum potential and passing on their genetics for the next generation to come has always fascinated me. With that being said, it is quite frustrating to pass up the prospective deer for the guy down the road to harvest as soon as it crosses the property line. He is providing food for his family and enjoying our resources that we have been given to us by the big man upstairs. But for me, it’s more than that. I want to see these animals live to the peak of their life and pass on those genetics so that one day generations to come can enjoy the same thing that I was so lucky to be a part of. Prodigy Whitetails specializes in raising typical frame, South Texas genetic whitetails, with the documented pedigree to back it. We're not in this to produce the biggest deer, but rather, the prettiest. And one thing is for certain; there is no one else in this great state of Texas who cares more about the conservation of such a vital resource than a deer breeder.
