As of now, trash and recycling are on the same schedule for Carolina Beach. I haven't found any information saying that GFL Environmental is rescheduling their services this week. Kure Beach trash and recycling are delayed until Wednesday and Thursday. That means the trash usually goes to the curb on Sunday, will now go out on Tuesday for the Wednesday pick up. If it seems confusing, don't worry, that's why you have us.

The beach dome has kept the rain from hitting us the last three times. Today we gambled and lost. At least it's cooler.

Hey y'all!
It's hot out! Please be careful when walking your dogs. The pavement and sand get so hot. The boys and I see this and it breaks our hearts knowing the pups feet are burning.
If you can't walk barefoot, neither should they.

As you have heard, the island has had a tremendous amount of rainfall in the last few days. Parts of Carolina Beach and Kure Beach are flooded. I contacted GFL Wilmington and they said they are on schedule. I will try to make my way to all of our customers and check cans if the roads are passable this afternoon. I know Kure Beach has suspended service until things are cleared up, so several days.
