One of the best signs of progress at the Coulee Region Business Center is not when a tenant moves in.

It is when they outgrow the space.

One of our tenants is moving from a 1,200 sq ft suite at the CRBC into a new 3,000 sq ft commercial location.

That is exactly what we hope happens.

Incubators should not become permanent storage for businesses that are stuck.
They should create an environment where businesses can stabilize, experiment, build confidence, and eventually take the next leap.

There is still a real need for places where businesses can start smaller, keep overhead manageable, learn, adapt, and grow before taking on the risk of larger commercial space.

Seeing that progression happen locally is encouraging.

Excited to watch them grow.

LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR’S SMALL BUSINESS ACADEMY 2026 IN LA CROSSE

The Lieutenant Governor’s Small Business Academy “in person” programs will be held simultaneously in several locations throughout Wisconsin. The La Crosse event will be from 8:00 a.m. - noon on Friday, May 8, 2026, at the North Side Beach Neighborhood Center, 1433 Rose Street, La Crosse, WI 54601. The program will include presentations by successful entrepreneurs and technical experts. Participants will have the opportunity to explore small business topics by choosing from various breakout sessions led by experts in a specific area of business. In addition to these presentations, local resource and economic development organizations will provide information about the small business support services they provide.

There’s a new face around the Coulee Region Business Center (CRBC).

John Kruger recently stepped into the role of Director and has been spending time meeting tenants, walking the building, and learning how CRBC can better support entrepreneurs across the Coulee Region.

CRBC has played an important role in helping businesses get started here, and the next chapter is already taking shape. Over the coming months you’ll begin to see improvements, updates, and new energy around the center.
