Leadership is not for the faint of heart. It takes guts, courage, and vulnerability to do it well. Most of us think that leaders shouldn’t make mistakes, shouldn’t falter, and shouldn’t feel fear. But that’s not the case at all. Leaders feel all those things, and more.... and they use them to guide, inspire, and teach those they lead. Are you having courageous conversations with your team? Do you ever let your guard down and show your vulnerable side to the therapists you lead? If so, good on you.... keep doing it! If no, why not? I promise that will be the first step to helping your authentic leadership shine.
