Our monthly ¡Viva La Mesa! Convivio/Potluck y Platica on August 20, 2026 at our beautiful center!
Doña Ana County Quality of Life Director Brian Stinnet brought Eric Bransford who worked with Health & Human Services for two decades before accepting his new role in the Quality of Life Department. They both shared their vision for our centers and centers throughout the county.
We had a representative from Mesilla Valley Hospice come and share services they offer our community such as Hospice & Palliative Care for those dealing with end of life issues.
Finally we had our awesome State Senator Carrie Hamblen who shared what she has been up to and plans for the upcoming legislative session!
Again lots of great information and amazing food shared at our monthly event.
Our September Convivio/Potluck y Platica is on September 17, 2026 at 11:30 am. Our monthly event falls one day after 16 de septiembre, Mexican Independence Day! Seeing how we are a multi-cultural community with a heavy population of Mexican/American people, the Convivio coordinators agreed that we would celebrate the Mexican holiday and ask everyone to bring a Mexican dish in their recipe arsenal to share and enjoy. Orlando-Antonio Carrillo-Jiménez has offered to sing a few traditional mariachi songs at the Convivio during the luncheon. We are working diligently to bring another dynamic speaker to share information with the attendees after we finish our meal.
Please make plans to attend our monthly Convivio/Potluck y Platica and we are challenging all the regular attendees to bring a new community member with them! Let’s make September even more successful than the last!
