My heart goes out to the family of Deputy Kenneth Lewis.

My deepest condolences.

The Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office has announced the line-of-duty death of Deputy Kenneth Lewis, who succumbed to his injuries after being struck by a passing vehicle while assisting a stranded motorist on I-10 near Eldridge over the weekend. Deputy Lewis was in uniform at the time, stopping to help someone in need — and paid the ultimate price in service to his community.

As a friend, I genuinely love helping people out whenever I can. That’s just who I am.

However, when it comes to private investigator work, I have to draw a clear line. I’ve had several requests asking me to “run” people or pull background information. As a licensed professional, I cannot do that without a legitimate reason and proper purpose behind the request.

On top of that, obtaining background information costs me money, time, and resources. I can no longer offer freebies or favors in this area. Staying professional, ethical, and operating with integrity is extremely important to me, and anything outside of that goes against my license, my ethics, and my values.

I truly hope you understand and respect where I’m coming from. I appreciate everyone’s support and trust.
