After twenty years of coaching, the question I heard more than any other wasn't about strategy or hiring or culture. It was: 'Can I call you right now?'

Succession planning and leadership continuity are mission critical. What do you think?

Effective decision-making is founded on
executive clarity. What do you think?

The most powerful leaders aren’t just strategic; they’re storytellers.
A well-cast vision transforms direction into motivation. It helps your team see themselves in the future you’re building. Ask yourself:

🌟 Can your team describe the vision without reading it off the website?
🌟 Does it connect to something that matters to them?
🌟 Are you reinforcing it daily not just at annual meetings?

At Geaux Consulting Group, we’ve seen that leaders who communicate from purpose, not pressure, create alignment naturally. When vision becomes shared language, momentum follows.

Let’s make this the year your team sees what’s possible together.

Q1 is a wrap and now it’s time to refocus.

Momentum fades not because goals are wrong, but because energy is misplaced. McKinsey & Company research shows that healthy drivers, such as belonging, psychological safety, commitment, and purpose, explain up to 76% of the difference between low- and high- performing teams in three key areas: efficiency, results, and innovation (McKinsey, 2024). The solution isn’t more effort…it’s better alignment.

I call this the Q2 Reset; a springtime pause to assess, refine, and reignite. This season, pause and ask:
✨ What priorities still align with our long-term vision?
✨ Where have we drifted?
✨ How can we simplify for greater impact?

Clarity isn’t found in doing more. It’s found in focusing on what matters most. Let’s make Q2 your most intentional quarter yet.

SMPS Chapter Leadership Symposium 2026 is in the books and my last as a member of the Society board. So grateful to spend time with the 4Ps, grow on my journey, and be in community with strong leaders coming into their chapter’s presidency next year. I’m looking forward to seeing what the National Treasures will do to shake things up and lead with confidence.

I’m in Washington, DC with the SMPS Board for our quarterly board meeting and to spend time with the chapter president-elects for the Chapter Leadership Symposium. As I finish my last year on the Society board, I’m reminded how energizing it is to meet with chapter members and the stellar HQ staff team. I’m also reminded that DC is a vibrant town to be in and was glad I had a few hours to take in the sights and check one more Smithsonian museum off my list to visit.
