It turns out we are much better at repairing equipment than positing on social media!

We have been busy with home espresso machines, replacing pool covers and servcing, commercial installations and preventative maintenance, and a contract with Offutt. It has been a fun year having Codey go full time in the business and we are so grateful for all of the continued referrals.

In October we added a member to our family so we have been adjusting to newborn parenthood and managing all things business!

Owning a small business is wild.

We just passed the 1 year celebration of Codey and I filing our LLC for Specialty Equipment Repair.

It’s crazy to chase leads and pray for jobs. It’s stressful to manage time and hope for growth. It’s weird schedules and hours and yesses just to move the needle. Its hard to build something from nothing. It’s fun to meet new people and solve problems. It’s satisfying to repair something no one else did. It’s exciting to think about the future and the need for quality repair in our community.

This photo has nothing to do with the espresso machines he fixed last week or the brewer repair he did yesterday, but it is a picture of our life and the hope we have for our future in building this business together. It’s showing tiny humans that they can chase dreams and take risks. It’s teaching them hard work and handy skill sets.

Thank you for all of you that have cheered us on and referred business our way.

Year 2, here we come.

This week we had the fun of diving into a repair on a Breville machine for the Susan Thompson Buffet Foundation, and performing preventative maintenance on an Astoria at Coffee Alley-Callejon del Cafe.

Preventative maintenance is one of the BEST things you can do for your equipment. Quarterly checks will help maintain the quality of your product, and save you time and money down the road.

Our preventative maintenance plan includes a 14 point check on your machine and grinder, replacement of gaskets and screens, and rebuilding the steam wands as needed.

Hi there!

We are Hannah and Codey, the owners of Specialty Equipment Repair. We began this wild process of starting a small business back in January and are excited to catch you up to speed!

We filed our LLC in February and started working with lg𝘅 branding company on all things design, branding, website, and strategy. Codey went to training in March with Workbench Coffee Labs to earn his SCA certification, and here we are in May taking calls and scheduling maintenance.

From commercial mixers to sealers, grinders to espresso machines, we are excited to partner with you to make sure your equipment doesn’t keep you from doing the things you love or your business from running smoothly.
