If you’re enrolled in one of our recent Nicolet College courses through Seek to Learn, don’t forget that Success Coach Ashley Maki will be here TODAY!

Enrollment is this Thursday at the BDC for our Written Communication and Oral Communication courses. These classes put you on the path toward the Professional Communication Certificate and prepare you for our upcoming Grant Writing course.

Seek to Learn, in partnership with Nicolet College, is offering the Professional Communication Certificate right here in Lac du Flambeau!

This fall, enroll in:
Written Communication
Oral Communication

These are the first 2 of 4 courses needed to complete the certificate, with the remaining courses and a Grant Writing class coming this spring. Previous college credits may also apply!

Celebrating Our Impact, One Story at a Time.

Four years ago, this journey began as the Workforce Training Center with a vision to bring more education, training, and opportunity to our community.

Today, that vision continues as Seek to Learn!

In four years, we've reached:

🎓 21 different courses
📚 70 classes offered
👥 635 students served

But the most important part of those numbers is the people behind them.

Every student who walked through our doors came for a different reason. To learn a skill. Earn a certification. Explore a career. Build confidence. Try something new. Or simply take their next step.

As Seek to Learn, we're excited to continue listening to our community, developing new programs, and creating opportunities that meet people where they are.

To every student, instructor, partner, and community member who has been part of these first four years, Miigwech.

Not every career starts in a traditional classroom.

Over the past four years, Seek to Learn has offered hands-on training and certification opportunities designed to help people build skills they can put to work in the real world.

Programs have included:

4 YEARS OF SEEK TO LEARN
Celebrating Our Impact, One Story at a Time.

Some of the most exciting learning happens when you get to roll up your sleeves and do it yourself.

Through our Youth Computer Building Course, 65 young people have had the opportunity to get hands-on with technology, learn how computers work, build problem-solving skills, and explore new interests.

For some, it may be their first introduction to technology beyond simply using a computer. For others, it could spark an interest that leads to future education or a career.

Creating those opportunities for our youth has been an important part of our first four years.

When young people have the opportunity to explore, build, and learn, you never know where it might lead.
